A restaurant in New Jersey is banning children under 10 years old. Nettie’s House of Spaghetti in Tinton Falls, with entrees between $26 – $50, made the announcement on Facebook. The decision has gotten mixed reactions from people in the community and around the country. In response to the feedback, the restaurant told Inside Edition, “When we opened Nettie’s, we curated an atmosphere that is an expression of us, and we continue to evolve in a way that is best for our business.” Inside Edition Digital’s Leigh Scheps has more.

I don't blame them at all. I used to manage a Panera Bread and I remember this one couple coming in with two kids sitting in a booth. One parent and one child on each side of the booth. As the parents were eating these little animals were jumping up and down so high on the booths one of them whacked their head off the glass light fixture above. Parents sat there and didn't say a word. Even worse I cannot even tell you how many parents would ask for the free water cups then send their kid to the Pepsi machine to steal the soda for them and the parent. Can you imagine being so pathetic you send your kid to go steal a Pepsi. I don't blame them one bit for banning kids.
if people would actually teach their kids how to behave people wouldn't have to do this
It's a small place with great food and artisan drinks . Hardly , entertaining for toddlers . I will definitely give them my business. There's plenty of other restaurants nearby for the family crowd.
One of the reasons I dislike going out in public is because of the surplus amount of unruly children. I live in Utah where everyone has like 10 kids and just takes them out to free roam and disturb everyone around them without teaching the kids manners and human respect before hand. I much prefer going to adult only spaces, but they don’t really exist where I live. Everything is for and about the children here. If I heard of a place like this, I’d be 100% more inclined to dine out – and I haven’t even attended a restaurant in three years.
I don't want or like children so this would be my go to restraunt lol the peace and quiet alone would bring my business
I think Nettie’s put its footy in its mouth. Good luck with that!
Me who's over 10: Party
The restaurant has the right to refuse service to anyone no questions asked.
If you can afford their food at around $25 a plate, you can afford a sitter. Teach kids to behave in public and people won't create spaces to be away from them.
It must be nice to have a life so easy that not being able to eat at one restaurant with your kids causes such outrage
As a father of 2 under 2, thankfully, my children aren’t mischievous. My son, who is turning 2, loves to walk up to tables and other guests and wave/say hello and then leaves. Doesn’t run around. Doesn’t make a fuss or a scene. Guess we were blessed. But, if you’re a parent, and you don’t even try to distract your child or entertain them, to stay respectful while eating out, then good, don’t go out. Stay home.
Can’t bash someone for trying but you can certainly bash them if they don’t even try.
WONDERFUL!!
I’m sure the restaurant will be fine without the parademons and their lazy parents there to drive away paying customers
There must be A LOT of bad mannered kids that come here
0:45 im sorry but if you're going to a restaurant with $50 entrees, you have enough money to afford a baby sitter for a day. I'm glad they made that change and wish more places would do the same.
I would prefer a place that didn't allow young kids. I only go out a few times per year. I want to relax, and spend good money to do so. One or more screaming or misbehaving kids makes the whole trip a waste.
It's their restaurant. They can make their own rules. Parents with messy attitudes and revolting children should grow up- they're the problem.
Yep, I like this.
Good. Other customers, employees and the owner's deserve no part in suffering a bad parent's negligence. Sucks for good parents but the restaurant has to be able to provide a quality dining experience to operate. Not only that but it's not even safe carrying plates of hot food with parents letting their kids run around.
Not going to lie, I love this idea. I love it when the free market works.
👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
I applaud. 0:13-22. some moms and dads want to go out to eat and don't have a sitter…then go to a mickey d's that has a ball pit.
I fully support the motion that this restaurant has taken because children and their parents have become absolutely ridiculous.
Slay
I’d say one thing to help it is that if someone wants to bring their kid in they have to sign like a waiver that’s says if the kid is unruly the restaurant can kick them out with no refunds
Oo
YOOOOOO MORE PLACES NEED TO BAN KIDS WOO
I agree with the restaurant
I think that’s it’s a great idea!! I wish more restaurants follow.
I would enjoy eating there.
Doesn't seem so crazy to me. Im a mother, and the oldest of 5 siblings.
Love this
Honestly, I'm all for a restaurant that doesn't allow children under 10. As an autistic person myself, I am extremely sensitive to the shrill screaming of children and their parents not even apologizing for the children's bad behavior. Don't even get me started on those Karens. At my job, I have to deal with the loud incessant screams, the children darting in front of me, etc. And I hate it. I think ALL businesses should have some control like the kind that this restaurant does.
I totally agree with their decision. I cant even begin to imagine the spaghetti mess some parents would allow their children to make a d then of course walk away and leave it for the server to clean up. Sadly these parents and their out control children ruin it for the well behaved.
