A Day In Salerno, Italy, with our dear friends, John & Michelle. It is always nice to spend the day with good friends, touring beautiful places. And, Salerno is DEFINITELY beautiful. In this video, we make our way to Salerno, which is about two hours away from our home in Scalea, in the region of Campania. We spend the day walking around, looking at the beauty Salerno has to offer, and also have some great (non-Italian) food. It was such a great day, and we hope that you will come along with us, as we see beautiful Salerno, Italy.
We are Michael and Justin!
We are American expats, living now, full time, in beautiful Calabria Italy, in wonderful Scalea. Michael is physically disabled, with mobility issues. As we vlog Italy, we do like to show in our videos, that anyone can dare to dream of life in Italy, regardless of mobility issues. The truth is, Italy mobility can, at times, be challenging. But, never impossible. So, come along with us on our adventures in Calabria, and beyond! We experience Italy living to the very fullest. And we invite you along! Join us, as we give you this Calabria Italy tour, showing you Italy lifestyle, culture, and food.
We would like to thank you for taking the time to watch our channel. And, as always, we dare you to dream. Baci Baci!

  1. Michael & Justin….Today I have to scold you!!! 😁 You didn't put subtitles….you talk too fast and I can't understand…Enjoy Salerno. God bless you and give you much happiness! M.❤ & J.❤ baci-baci a Voi e ai vostri amici inglesi !

  2. Wow what a beautiful day. Thanks for sharing the tour, the streets were so pretty, I loved the architecture. Love you guys, Rochelle and Beth.

  3. Loving this video of Salerno. Bigger city more choices of restaurant. I love how close you all are as friends. 🙏🏼😁

I’d be scared to walk some of the small streets alone, I guess it’s US stress! Another reason I want to leave California 😢

Some of those streets have “vendi” for sake signs! Be cool if you did a video of different properties around Scalea or any close town that you see for sake signs for viewers to see the building as most websites miss showing the outside of the property!! 😬🙏🏼

  4. I love your videos! 😍 Ohh…Salerno! How many memories…. I have spent a year of my life in Salerno, in 1986, during my restoration work of the Bizantine Bronze doors of Duomo. It is real a pity that the stores of the centro storico were closed. Baci baci😘😘😘

  5. The Mexican food was a joke. Chimichangas looked like egg rolls! Tostadas ridiculous. Nice try but no cigar. 31 minute vid could have been 15!

  6. Fun video! Lovely promenade, and all the great international food made me hungry!!!!! Loved the walk through the neighborhood, too. That US store was hilarious. The worst of US food….for sale in a place with some of the best food in the world! LOL. Happy for you all to have such a beautiful and yummy day out together! Abbracci a tutti!

  7. Thank guy's for your walkabout in Salerno it brings back fond memories 😊 It's such a charming small city with a great promenade. 👍 Nice to see you all having a good time. The food looked yummy 😋 Much love ❤️

  8. what a great video. Amazing how even at your first stop at the Autogrill gas station, the food looked incredible.
I had been to one years ago and was so impressed.
Loved your walkabout in Salerno. The food, again looked fantastic.
I think the Riposo time in Italy is a wonderful time to explore. I just love how peaceful it is during that time.
Wonderful to see you and your friends enjoying a gorgeous day together.
    Thanks for posting😙😙

  9. Enjoyed immensely, thanks guys….I chuckled when Justin said “ oh yummy” I thought at first he was talking about the blonde lady in front of him..haha…don’t mind me I’m just goofy..❤️🇨🇦❤️

  10. Always very nice to watch your videos guys, and and to know more about this part of Italy …. loved Salerno 🤩

  11. Beautiful City . not a big fan of the 24 hr Vending Machines , it needs a recorded loop of a Nonna every 90 seconds "Mangia mi Figli , mangia mangia , hahah ha" . to make it REALLY creepy . like something out of a Fellini film .

  12. Enjoyed watching your travels to Salerno, it’s always enjoyable when travelling with friends. It would worry me walking through some of these laneways alone in larger cities that I am not familiar with.

  13. Thanks for another fantastic video. We are thinking about visiting Salerno for a day trip; when we are back in Scalea.

  14. I was in Salerno about 16yrs ago (ugh..too long ago). It’s such an interesting and place. After being in Florence and Rome it felt even more Italian which was lovely. Architecture was beautiful. And how fun to have some Mexican-ish food! 😊 I had Chinese up north near Turin all those years ago and it was not great but really gave me some fun memories! Great video!

  15. The food loooked absolutely amazing, I thought that one plate of churros was for the table.. then realized everyone got their own plate of churros…YUMMI… love it.

  16. What a wonderful day out you had! The waterfront promenade looks fabulous as I've always loved port towns and love to follow the promenades under the sunshine! We are yet to discover Livorno, in our area, which is also a wonderful seaside town with a fantastic tiled promenade. If we get there this season, I'll share it with you! You might need to get to Tuscany one of these days! A presto…ciao e baci 🥰😍😘💙🐬

  17. A beautiful day in a beautiful town ! I remember when My husband and I went to Salerno many ten years ago to visit and go shopping, the people were so kind. Glad to see you have had a good time there with your friends. Stay safe and baci baci❤

  19. Thanks for sharing this amazing dream come true for you guys. I admire how you picked up and left for Italy. My relatives live in Calabria and I truly love the heart and beauty there. I am so hoping to get property in Calabria soon. You guys make it look so easy. Days trips are so easy and beautiful. Love Salerno my dads birth home. Please keep inspiring us. Thanks from Canada

  20. So happy that you went there, we passed it this summer on the way from Napoli to Calabria, I think it will be worth a stop next time!!

  21. Loved this video, especially the foodie bits. I'd love to see what Mythos has to offer – and am excited that there's Indian food available too! The rock music was a surprise – it really set the tone in the record store lol.

  22. Lovely video, we’ve always driven past Salerno and the start of the Amalfi, two more places to visit on our list, thankyou 🤗 xx

  23. How nice! Glad you had lovely weather during your time in Salerno! I swear I gain a pound or two every time I watch one of your videos! 😂😘😂😘
