I’m over in Italy this week checking out some good locations for my upcoming “Sketchbook Italia” art retreat. It was so lovely at Abbadia di Fiastra, one of the spots we’ll be painting at that I thought I would record a quick video.
I’ve been doing a couple of sketches out and about this week too so watch this space for another vlog or two in the next week or so.
I can’t wait for the retreat. I’ve lived in Italy for several years now and I absolutely love the area. I’m so excited to show people around my favourite spots. It’s such an inspiring place to paint.
The retreat is open to all levels. By the end of the trip you’ll have not only visited some of the prettiest spots in the area and improved your artistic prowess but you’ll have a wonderful sketchbook as a personal, unique and memorable souvenir to take home with you.

This year is a trial run so the prices are particularly attractive starting from £823 for airport transfers, accommodation, teaching, excursions and some wine/truffle tasting trips!
