Easy Italian Hangover cake ๐Ÿ˜‹ follow to make your friends and family happy with some lovely food ๐Ÿ˜Š

This recipe is based on a classic Italian blunt cake (ciambellone). With its citrusy orange flavour and the kick of disaronno liquor this dessert is sure going to impress your guest. Check what it’s needed here.๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป

Ingredients
โ€ข4 eggs
โ€ข180 g sugar
โ€ข120 ml extra-virgin olive oil
โ€ข50 ml fresh orange juice
โ€ข1 shot of Di Saronno liqueur
โ€ขzest of one orange
โ€ข1 teaspoon vanilla extract
โ€ข300 g all purpose flour
โ€ข1 tablespoon baking powder

Amaretto orange glaze:
โ€ข130 g icing sugar
โ€ข1 tablespoon Amaretto liqueur
โ€ข2 tablespoon orange juice

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 340ยฐF/170ยฐC and generously grease and flour a 9-inch bundt pan.

2.In a stand mixer whisk the eggs and sugar with a until pale and fluffy (about 2 min)

3.Whilst whisking, slowly pour in the extra-virgin olive oil, orange juice and zest, di saronno liquor and vanilla extract.

4.Add the flour and baking powder and sift them into the bowl. Whisk all the ingredients gently until just combined, do not over mix.

5.Pour the cake batter into the bundt pan. Place in the oven and bake for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6.Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool, then remove it from the cake pan. Pour the glaze over the cake and enjoy this deliciousness ๐Ÿ˜‹

Glaze:
In a small bowl whisk together icing sugar, amaretto liqueur and orange juice until smooth, adding in more orange juice 1 teaspoon at a time to thin as desired.
