Hi Giulia, thank you so much for your videos. I love them! These cookies are so pretty! My nephew is getting married the beginning of July and also being Italian like you, you know that cookies are a big part of an Italian wedding! I am definitely going to make these! Can you tell me how many cups the ground almonds are? You say 1 pound, but do you know how many cups that would be? Thank you so much.
Hello there, we will get back to you as soon as we can. It should be around 2 cups, but she will remeasure the pound of flour and then break them up into cups to assure how many cups it comes to. If you have a scale, you can do that as well. Just measure out a pound of the almond flour, then break it up into cups. She will try to do that in advance in her next video. Thanks for the feedback.
Hello again, my mom measured out the 1 lb of flour and it comes to 4 cups. I hope this will help. I am sure the cookies will be a great addition to the wedding. Best of luck to your nephew.
Hello, yes the flour does give the flavor of almonds. It is purely ground almonds. And yes, the lemon adds a wonderful citrus zest to the cookie. I personally don't think it requires anymore flavor, since you also get a touch of sweetness with the powdered sugar added on top of the cookie. Why don't you give it a try as the recipe calls for it and then you can decide if you would prefer more flavor. I'm sure the amaretto would also be a nice addition. Good luck and have fun baking!!
Hi Giulia, thank you so much for this recipe. I just finished making them and they came out beautifully! They look beautiful, taste wonderful and so easy to make. I am going to freeze them for my nephew's wedding. Please do more videos on Italian cookies if you can. I really love hearing you tell stories that accompany the recipes. :))
I am so glad the cookies came out good, and that the recipe was easy to execute. I will definitely keep doing videos on my cookies. I am so glad you enjoy hearing the stories and history behind the recipes. I appreciate your support. Enjoy!!

Thank you so much for replying!
Does the almond flour taste like almonds or does the lemon give it the flavor? Can you add amaretto to flavor it even more?

Hi Guilia, liked your video easy to follow. I haven't tried your recipe yet can you used almonds that are not peeled?
what is the difference between almond powder almond ground?
Why don't you use your stand mixer??????? THEN put it on the counter and get your hands in it? You're making a big deal out of this.
Gosh I remember the beautiful cookie pyramids that were always at every wedding. Such a beautiful tradition.
Love it, guilia – no salt?
