The rental market in New York City is crazy. Everyone knows it! However, we love NYC SO much that we decided to join the Manhattan apartment hunt to see if we can find a place that’s perfect for us. We laid out our budget, our must-haves, and our nice-to-haves before scheduling unit tours. Some things we’re looking for? A nice kitchen, laundry in-unit, space for our cat Micia, outdoor space, good lighting, a doorman building, and more. The budget? $6,000 per month USD. We sort of feel like this is our very own Pasini version of “House Hunters”. Tell us which apartment YOU think we should have chosen in the comments!

  1. now alessio will be happy that he can go to arthur ave more frequently!!! πŸ˜‰

  2. I’d have to make 16,000 a month just to breathe in New York. Let alone rent good lord…….oh and no conceal carry that’s a massive no

  3. Talk to Cash. He's on YouTube. He's shown some great places. Apt 8, the furniture looked so old and crappy. Very big, just you can do better. Rats and probably cockroaches

  4. This is so funny watching non New Yorkers look for apartments in New York. Also you can find apartments way cheaper they just literally want all the amenities. Also you can find way cooler places in Brooklyn.

  5. Seriously consider a NJ town with bus to the city within 40 bus ride into the city. You'll get much more for your money.

  6. Omg. I just stayed up way too late to see no result? Luv u guys but this outcome Or non outcome stunk.

  7. You guys aren't very smart if you are basing some of your decisions from a cat's point of view lol.
Cats are simple. They want love and food and a warm place to sleep.
Also…. You are being way way too unrealistic in your expectations for an apartment in New York City these days.
FYI rats are everywhere in NYC.

  8. Nothing wrong with waiting a while and saving like crazy so you can get exactly what you want if you decide to go back. You 2 did seem to really love it there so make it a goal to work toward together. β€πŸ˜€

  9. Are you kidding?! People are trying to move out of the city! You can’t breathe here it’s dirty too many homeless people. That’s just a few things, not to mention how expensive it is. I definitely would not recommend it. If you want to move to Ny, upstate is where it’s at!

  10. Why New York?? It is the most expensive and horrible place in the country..
    Really need to rethink this..
What is insane that you would even consider
    living anywhere in that State..

  11. Best deals are on street easy Suggestion when you find something you like visit that apartment multiple times. I have friends who thru street easy found big apartment 2500-3600. I'm and born and bred New Yorker. I live in a small studio for over 20 yrs in East village. Lived in all 5 Boroughs that make up NYC. Safest Borough is Staten Island. You can find what you want for alot less and just a ferry away, Follow Cash Jordan here on youtube he has best apartments in NYC

  12. I was expecting you to look at "The Real Little Italy" in the Bronx neighborhood from your previous videos. That neighborhood would probably be more in line with your budget and help you feel connected to the Italian culture.

  13. I lived in upstate NY all most of my life and moved to NC I would suggest looking around Westchester NY and travel into the city may be able to afford more around your price or maybe buy home

  14. We lived in Manhattan when we were young and my husband was a Wall St guy. It was so much fun and a great place to have babies. We were only there a short time but I cherish the memories.

  15. Loooooollll $4000-$6000/mo??? I own a 4 bedroom/4bath in a crime free area 10minutes from new orleans with 2800 sqft for $1500/mo. Yall are crazy.

  16. I dont think people in new york know what "a view" actually is. Looking at other buildings and rooftops?? How is that pleasing to your eyes? A real view is a river, a lake, some type of nature… πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

  17. If you can somehow and it’s like finding the end of a rainbow find a rent controlled apartment I’m serious even if it’s not the neighborhood that you exactly wanna jump on that I have two leads because I wanna move back to NYC finally from upstate and I have a couple of contacts if you can find a rent controlled apartment do it doesn’t matter if it’s small you’re not gonna get a big apartment in NYC if you’re on a budget but take whatever you can get that seems tolerable for two adults And have your NYC: experience even if you don’t stay just do it I think everyone should try it in their life you have to have the experience you guys seem to love the city so much I want you to have the experience of living in the best city in the world even if it’s not forever…you should try it

  18. Wow that apartment with the patio and the pool I mean yes it’s double the budget but SO nice

  19. I really like how you guys are looking at like at least a dozen apartments because that’s the way to go especially and NYC: you have to see I’m gonna say at least 10 places before you can decide

  20. We will all end up in NYC: at some point I know it’s gonna happen for all of us I love your channel

  21. Every one of my monthly bills are much less than that monthly cost for rent alone and we have 2 kids, 2 dogs, and 3 cats!! Yikes!

  22. Move to Chicago … beautiful city … tons of restaurants … you would love it…. Rents are much better

  23. $6000?!? A month?!? A MONTH?!? I pay $1,600 for a 3 bedroom home and feel like I’m losing it…

  24. Ok, wrap your head around this….when you live in a city, water is purified by dilution. Read that again. And, the water coming out of your tap was in the toilet three days ago. Not only your toilet….everyone's. And, they cannot remove the medications from the water. Think about that. That's why we have a well. Mother earth filters our water from 1,000 ft deep.
