Thanks
I always wanted to know what was discussed!
Only part on my dvd it won’t show subtitles 👍
Any other Sicilians watching this and annoyed the translation in parts, is wrong?
At least McCluskey try the veal which was the best in the city
Thanks for the translation 👍👍
No offer ….I must break you.
You can't offer me anything because you have no true power.
Wrong scene, Clemenza said take the cannoli
I always watched these movies with my dad as a kid. My dad has seen these films probably hundreds of times, so he memorized the translations for every line of dialogue in italian. I fondly remember him interpreting each and every line to me in english as some scenes like this lacked subtitles.
He took the canolli??? Nooooooooooooooooooooo!
bro that ending. why did you make those sound effects lmao hurt my ears. thanks for ur work tho
does anybody know where to watch the movie with subtitles?
After this sollozo and mcCluskey slept with the fishes, without even playing with the oranges
Thanks!
Little did Sollozo know that Michael was looking for any excuse NOT TO KILL HIM, but he sealed his own fate when he said “he wasn’t that clever.” Michael knew he was pulling car salesman tactics on him as Sonny joked about earlier.
From 2:32 onwards…I think the English subtitles here are partly wrong. I think what Sollozzo says is more like: "….Your father's in a bad way, when he's better we'll have a meeting and straighten everything out…"
You know I know the show the offer is a biopic based on the making of the godfather however I would've love to see who played the actors that play sollazzo and McCluskey in this scene.
Nice…….well I enjoyed that translation. Thank you for putting it up…..Grazie ‼️
Tanks
Lmao I do love that little ending "he took the canolil" perfect
Sollozo : "all i want is a truce"
Michael : "i've to go to bathroom ……. "
“Ya gotto go, ya gotta go. I frisked him. He’s clean.”
McCluskey, you big dolt.
Sollazzo said "I think Islem Is A Peaceful Religion ; and Indeed Allah is all merciful and Profit Moohamhead is his apostle"
This is exactly why I started learning Italian you never know when you'll encounter the mob
Thank you!
When you’re a Spanish speaker and you know exactly what’s being said 😅
First time: I wonder what they said?
After playing through Assassins Creed 2: Just business!?? You shot his dad!
Why didn't Solozzo frisk him on the way back to the table?
" i've been trying to reach you about your extended warranty"
Michael fulfilled his wish to END all these by ending them.
i loved how McCluskey did a head butt off the table for good measure
So we don't read what he said.
Not sure why the movie didn't include the subtitles here.
BTW, what happened to the driver?
Aw well. The cop shouldn't have slugged michael.Michael. The dope dealer should have known revenge was
being considered.
Anybody able to provide the Italian dialogue to what Sollozzo is saying? Looking to use it for a paper
Yes , at the moment he said what guarantees can i give you ? It was clear he was gonna try again to kill his father , otherwise he d say ok no more attempts
What a solid performance by Al Lettieri. He should have been rewarded an Oscar for his role.
They all underestimated Michael sollozzo Roth the 5 families way ahead of the game
Thanks for this
You are a god among men my friend….
Sollozzo shoud never have let Mike out of his site, even if it meant following him into the can.
where i can find the italian conversation?? Thanks.
Always understood everything he said great scene bye Letierri.
I use McCluskey's line all the time. When ya gotta go….ya gotta go.
Thank you so much for uploading & translating this! I've always wondered for years what they were saying!
After I watched this, I went to the loo and stuck my hand behind the toilet.
All I got was stinking slime, mold, dead roaches and spider web all over my hand.
Mike speaks italian the same way i speak malayalam. I guess children of immigrants have the same problems 😅
The actor who played Sollozzo was fabulous. Very realistic look, attitude & talk.
The reason this exchange isn't subtitled is to put the scene in Michael's perspective. Michael is not well versed in the Silician language as Solozzo so he has trouble conversing with him.
From regular Italian, some sentences are perfectly easy to understand and some are impossible, it changes whenever it feels like
The way micheal was able to decieve sollozo into thinking that he only cared about the safety of his father and willing to go along with the deal is brillant. He actually convinced both sollozo and mcklausky that they were in charge of the situation when the whole time micheal was the puppet master pulling the strings. Good lesson here hide your true intentions until you can control the situation without showing your true hand
Tu padri pens all'antica…..
