The Risottos tasted included 3 types of the traditional Risotto allβIsolana with the special tastasal β a local salami, Risotto with potatoes and speck, Risotto with beetroot and bufala cheese, Risotto with radicchio and scamorza cheese, Risotto with pumpkin and radicchio. Bon appetit!
The Fiera del Riso has, for over half a century, been Italy’s biggest and best-loved festival dedicated to risotto and rice. There you can find one of the most appreciated dishes of the Italian cuisine in different recipes from the more traditional one to the more modern prepared by cooks from Italy and all over the World. Every year the Fiera del Riso takes place during three weeks between September and October in Isola della Scala, a small town in Verona province. Isola della Scala with its springs it a famous paddy field area and there you can find Nano Vialone Veronese rice that was the first in Europe to obtain the prestigious Protected Geographical Indication mark (1996).
