We always made Yorkshire pudding separate but served with butter & sugar which strangely compliments roast beef
My parents always made Yorkshire pudding this way in the 1970s and 80s. Some had a slice with dinner but as kids we often treated it as desert with golden syrup or lemon and sugar.
