  1. I remember reading somewhere that the US version of Kitchen Nightmares are 100% for entertainment only. None of the stuff we see here are not heavily scripted, and most of the restaurants were actually not as bad as being depicted in the show. Most of the restaurant owners who signed up for this were already looking to sell their restaurants, and they're in this just to make some quick bucks, and raise the profile of their restaurants in the hopes of pushing the sale price up.

  2. Kitchen Nightmares UK is something to watch on a nice Sunday morning
Kitchen Nightmares US is something that watch on a drunken Friday night

  3. If you ever sit in a restaurant where you see Gordon Ramsey is eating you know your meal is gonna suck xD

  4. Unlike in later manifestations of this show the “chefs” actually seem keen to learn and are humble. Guess it didn’t make good enough tv. Shame.

  5. I wonder if these young lads are getting a decent wage for their part in making the rip off food, whether it tastes good or bad, in the short term, because if they're on minimum wage why would they feel any enthusiasm to go above and beyond, this is obviously something that's always been a concern with underpaid performing a high workload job; from experience, working in a kitchen is the epitome of high workload…

  6. Original kitchen nightmares was when it was real, not this BS American reality tv show where it's some shithole dive in the middle of the mid-west

  7. I'm American and MUCH prefer the British version without the overly dramatic music and Ramsay screaming at everyone.

  8. If you are a serious cook, and want to learn about cooking, this is the show for you.If you want to get stoned or drunk ,and just laugh, the u.s. version is for you lol.

  9. Kitchen nightmares in the uk: The owner does everything and stretched to thin.

Kitchen nightmares in the us: The owner is drunk and has never seen the inside of their freezer

  10. I was a big fan of the American Kitchen Nightmares show… until I watched the UK version. I get that in America we can lead with our big personalities at times; but watching the UK show, it emphasizes that you can do this format without all the extra drama.

  11. I was hopeful when the worst that Ramsey could say about the pasta dish was that it was boring. But as soon as he mentioned the mussels hadn't been cleaned it was game over. A problem with reinvention/imagination can be worked with…But there's no coming back from not having a lick of common sense.

  12. You know why Gordon didn't talk calmly like this way in US kitchen nightmare ?

Because US kitchen nightmares's music/sound effect outloud Gordon voice..

  13. You would think losing the chef of Michelin restaurant would automatically lose your Michelin rating. 🤷‍♂️

  14. I love the British version of this show! No stupid background music drowning everything out and Gordon not screaming and swearing at everyone!

  15. I heard Anthony Bourdain say that the British version of Kitchen Nightmares is pretty much how Gordon Ramsay really is. Not the over-the-top-yelling stuff.
