Jits is a 1999 Peugeot Boxer Autosleeper ‘Symphony’. Jits belonged to Adam’s mum, Sally, who sadly passed away in Jan 2019 from ovarian cancer. During this time, we were reminded how life is too short and felt inspired to take the plunge & pursue our dream of full-time van life.

I would paint our house either a pale mellow yellow or a sky blue. Absolutely love Venice but only spent a few hours there a few years ago, it left such an impact on me and my husband, would love to go back one day. Unforgettable place xx

Glad you enjoyed "backstreets" Venice. I fell in love with Venice the first time I visited in 2003. I took a huge leap of faith, sold everything and moved to Venice in 2008. We lived in that magical place for 10 years, afterwhich we moved south to the island of Procida. I discovered your channel when you visited with Nicki and Carlo. Happy travels!

I realise it’s metaphorical but when you travel in a campervan it’s literal too!
Oh the price of gondolas – we were there on Valentines day and managed to haggle a guy down to 60 but that was in 2008. What we took from it was the incredible skill of the gondolier! But as far as seeing the city, you didn't miss much by not taking the gondola. You can get the perspectives from water taxis. It was nice, but we felt really conspicuous. It was weird.
Am listening to your podcast atm about finding the perfect van. We have a lwb 2012 Ford transit (not xlwb) and I reckon it would suit all your needs. It’s like the same size as a mwb sprinter, cheaper to maintain, and certainly more reliable than jits. Only downside is they tend to rust easily so make sure you properly check one out before buying. Would be nowhere near as bad as jits though. Check out lost in transit and ame in a van to see size and what you could do with the space. We are managing to put a widthways bed in ours as well to save space (by reducing insulation on those parts of walls)! Hope this helps:) I was going to buy a van like jits at first because I thought she was perfect but this is the conclusion I’ve come to after more research to find a fairly reliable, cheap to run and good sized van.

My boyfriend and I are travelling in the new year around Europe in our van Betty. You guys inspire us every week. Watching your videos makes us more and more excited for our adventure. After losing my dad in September, I want to follow in his footsteps travelling the world and make him the proudest dad. Delaying our trip is not an option, and we can’t wait to make new memories.
