  1. Based on an older review you provided I am hooked on Brancaia Riserva Chianti Classico. I managed to find 2 bottles and I have one left however when the next shipment comes in hopefully sooner than later, I will buy a case of 12 and at 42 CAD I may have to get a pt job delivering pizza but for that wine …. will do lol Thanks Matt, your the best!

  2. I like that you take previous comments into account. I'm usually critical, but this one was perfect. Every video is getting better!

  3. Thank you Matthew, we were really pleased to see this video, we are proud of your opinion on our Chianti Classico 2019!

  4. Great vertical lineup! I'm not too surprised that a few wines made it above Isole e Olena as I find their standard Classico is a bit pricey for what it brings.
In terms of affordable Classico Riserva, I've found most stuff from Mazzei, such as Ser Lapo and Fonterutoli, are always very high quality for the money. Great video once again!

  5. You ROCK! Love your enthusiasm especially with your blind tastings. This one was amazing! I wrote all these down and I'm heading out to buy a bottle of as many I can. Thank you and keep up the great work.

  6. LOVE Montefioralle! Stayed right near Panzano a few years ago and got a great tour/tasting there. Also can’t go wrong with a Volpaia.

  7. Really liked this one, I’m going to have to grab a couple bottles of that Istine! Do you have a video on some of the best Bordeaux blends from Napa under $50 if not is that something you would consider making

  8. With points so tight between the bottles, it really goes down to the style one likes. But did I spy the Isole having a lower shoulder level than all the rest? 😆

  9. Thank you Matthew! Love your content. Villa Puccini CC Riserva 2018 is on the menu tomorrow night. About 16 bucks for a Riserva … How is that possible? Looking forward to it. Been drinking Bordeaux for the last couple of years almost exclusively except for Chateau Neuf and Sancerre. Sancerre is a must try btw. But, you made me put in an order for some Chianti Classico. Will be my first time trying a CC.

  10. New subscribers here. Great channel. We love wine and have done several YouTube travel wine videos. Like you, we love Chianti Classico. Villa Cafaggio is one of our favorites from Panzano.

  11. Great video again, Matthew! Thank you for providing more good wines to get in to debt for haha. Just a quick question.. could you compare the Rosso's of Montepulciano and Montalcino to the Chianti Classico? What different notes can you get on those compared to the Classico, or vice versa?

  12. I recognize several of these wines, but currently the only one I can get directly in the stores where I live is… Istine! Can't beat the price either at $15. Gonna get me some!

  13. Thank you Matthew for such wonderful video! You talked about great wine within my budget. I myself only work at a fast food restaurant and still want to enjoy some great wine. Wonder if you can suggest one or two cabernet sauvignon $30-$50 a bottle. Thanks again for the video!

  14. The depth of knowledge is amazing, went on a Chianti Classico tasting tour back in 2011 was absolutely wasted on me back then!

  15. It's really interesting watching your reactions to the wines you're tasting. I'm honestly more of a beer/IPA guy, but my wife has turned me onto wines, in that we've "graduated" from Boone's Farm to actual wines, I know………… lol right? We recently did a wine cellar tour at the Williamsburg winery in VA, and they have some exceptional wines. Our favorite was the Petit Verdot varieties. I have had Chianti in the past, but I've not heard of Chianti Classico, although I'm very interested now. The wine cellar guide mentioned that lead crystal glasses were the best way to drink or taste wine, but I didn't get the opportunity to ask him why. Could you address that? I'm mostly a grocery store wine shopper, and my wine taste leans towards red blends, but I learned at the Williamsburg wine tour that red blends can consist of a single grape or multiple varieties, and many times this isn't mentioned on the bottle, but is implied with the name or region where produced. Anyhow, love your channel and looking to learn more about wines; we even got a small wine cooler/fridge several years back so we could store more, but somehow it seems to be more empty than full…………………. hmmm
