We already visited the “Little Italy”, NYC you’re probably most familiar with, but have you heard of Arthur Ave? This neighborhood in the Bronx claims to be the “REAL” Little Italy in NYC, so of course, we had to check it out for ourselves. Mozzarella shops, cannoli, Italian grocery shopping, coffee, bakeries, salami tasting and eating at Enzo’s- what do you think? Is this an authentic Italian experience in the USA?

  1. Omggg I loved this video and I stopped to like it exactly when he told me to!.
    Lovely couple ❤️

  2. As someone who has grown up an hour metro north ride from Manhattan, you guys found the right place. Also, if you guys need any emergency supplies, please lmk. Lol

  3. This experience hands down beats the other Little Italy experience. It was so satisfying to watch you, the people, and the markets. I enjoyed it so much! I hope you can go back again and again.

  4. Loved seeing Arthur ave with you 2….Allesio, my Nonno and Nonna are from Pordenone and azzano decimo…..I pray I will get there some day, so great to hear you speak Italian, it sounds very familiar, I’ve missed it…❤️🇨🇦❤️Teresa

  5. Came across your channel by destiny like Alessio says in this video and have watched so many videos in the past hours but this one is one of my favorites. His happiness while experiencing Little Italy in the Bronx is so genuine, coming from another country and culture, I genuinely share his emotions and this video made me so happy for him, having the chance to eat and taste his Italian flavors and finding people so friendly and welcoming who not only chatted with him the way he desired but also made him feel as if he was home, made me wanna go to all these places!
Blessing to you and hope to see watching suck great content you guys produce! Ur new Dominican fan!!!

  6. What a great neighborhood! Was so nice watching this. Honestly I think you guys would love living in Italy…

  7. I just discovered your channel and as a first Generation Italian American living in NYC. I still have not been to Arthur Ave you have opened my eyes I am going to plan a trip there and bring a Suitcase because I truly want authentic Italian merchandise. Grazie from a new Subscriber

  8. Save your money for a visit to melbourne Aus 😁~ Mediterranean Wholesalers, Constante Imports, and a wholly preserved Italian culture including wine making in the Yarra Valley region, passata , sausage, and salami making in the king valley. bellisimo!

  9. The real "Little Italy" is in St louis Mo. I'ts called The Hill.
Where Italians and Sicilians live and own businesses.
There is a Doc that was made about it last year called The real little italy.

  10. One place to go to on Arthur Ave is Tietel Brothers. And then try the Truffle cheese and of course the Parma ham. Just amazing! And the soppressata is wonderful as well.

  11. Oh, I forgot about Addeo’s for the bread and the Casa de Mozzarella you went to. Get the bread, Parma, mozzarella with some italian olive oil from Tietel and you will be in heaven!

  12. My mum emigrated from Hungary. I grew up in Canada where we had access to many European items. I moved to the US and it is terrible how hard it is to find the things that I am used to using. I would be travelling to these stores every couple of weeks if I lived in Manhattan. I generally travel to NYC 3 or 4 times a year and will carve out time to travel there on future trips

  13. We keep "Little Italy" in Manhattan for the tourists. It keeps them away from the good stuff. The Bx is where it is at, and you found it

  14. I always like the real deal no matter what it is because you always get the true experience

  15. I love this video. Now I really know where to go in NY for authentic Italian. You guys look like you had so much fun!!!

  16. French make good soap ? how come they smell like BO ? I guess there not good at deodorant

  17. a little piece of home for everyone, somewhere in the 5 boroughs. so damn true

  18. You were better than great. Thank you so much for the video. This had been my go to place when I lived in NY for 71 years. Gracie!!!!

  19. Great video, but enough with the "Amore" !!! Please, it's too much! Once, twice, three times, but enough already! It's sounds sappy and silly when you say it that much.

  20. The "Little Italy" in Manhattan has been disappearing into Chinatown for awhile now. I am a very long time Arthur Avenue shopper for over the last 40 years whilst living in Manhattan. The businesses on Arthur Avenue are mostly family owned, thus the specialization of services ("Do only what you do best"). I am particularly fond of Cerini Coffee company and have become friendly with the family. Many of the shops and particularly the Cerini coffee company will ship the products you so admired there (and some others from nearby vendors) for free, for a minimum amount order which I have never failed to meet and I know you will have no problem meeting. Casa della Mozzarella which you visited (along with the mozzarella the burrata is devine and you'd be hard put to find a better sandwich) and Borgatti's Ravioli are also great favorites. Madonia bakery (where Enzo's likely got their olive bread) and the Calabrian pork store I see were fortunately also on your itinerary Now the bonus! The prices of just about everything on Arthur Avenue seem to be the lowest around including prices from online shopping. On occasion I can beat say the price for everyday Rummo pasta on rare occasion on sale at a supermarket. But any real specialty pasta is always less expensive on Arthur Avenue. Truffle paste and sauces, speciality coffees, stuffed Calabrian peppers, fresh and dried sausages, Parmigiano Reggiano (yes even 36 month and older) are all less expensive at the Arthur Avenue brick and mortar stores than from online vendors. (Please also try Teitel’s Grocery) The price break also extends to equipment, all of my espresso machines, grinders, pasta formers, etc. Are less expensive from Arthur Avenue than from even online vendors. The machines from which you had your macchiatos were likely serviced and supplied by Cerini along with the coffee. Please note: they have reasonably priced very good coffee grinders! (I.e., Every thing is locally supported) I do hope you return and if convenient I’ll even give you a ride! (An Irishman who grew up with and has always had Italian best friend’s mothers as additional parents!)

  21. Haven’t been since before the pandemic. Your visit has inspired me to organize a little trip up to Arthur avenue with friends before Christmas ❤

  22. 🎉🎉🎉 I am so happy!!! I literally had tears in my eyes watching you and Amore eat!!!DRINK!!! Oh EmGee
I want to fly to Bronx, drink that coffee, eat the bread and have the mozzarella and fly back ❤❤❤❤
Thank you @Amore eins und zwei!!!

  23. I also made this trip and ate at Enzo. I took the subway bus and walked. It was amazing. Not phony at all and it was just too much of everything. Could easily skip Manhattan and spend a month here. So much to see, Fordham, the Zoo, the Yankees…..Arthur is the best!

  24. So many people have come from other countries and when you find a place that has food from HOME. It does make you want to cry and buy another suitcase to take back with you

  25. I moved to Florida from NY 20 years ago and I still miss the bread from NY. Never found anything even close anywhere else.

  26. Growing up, my dad used to roast chestnuts in the oven, cut a slice in each, never a problem. Better on a fire or w coals but still fine.

  27. Oh my gosh the more I watch the more I fall in love with Italian Culture . So friendly and heart warming people. I could so go to Italy and eat my way through it.

  28. You both are lovely people, such a lovely couple the video was brilliant to watch, and you was making me very hungry, Italian people are so nice.

  29. I would assume you could have bought what you wanted and maybe fedex or ups them back to home.
