Visited an Italian McDonald’s in Lucca Italy. Ordered a Hamburger, Chicken Nuggets and Beer. McDonalds in Italy are very different than the ones in the USA. Quality of food was very impressive. And they had beer!

Great episode! Thanks for sharing. McDonald's is the first (from any country!) fast food place I saw when stepping off the airport shuttle bus to the heart of Palermo at Piazza Castelnuovo, but I did not go because I'm saving the experience for the kids, Leo and Lucia, when they come…Actually, I did not go to any restaurants, street food, nada (unless new Sicilians friends bought it or insisted on tasting it…as on the Feast of Santa Lucia a couple of days ago when it's traditional to have an arancino, no bread, no pasta allowed, but what are breadcrumbs??? shhhh, don't ask, don't tell!) !) in my 87-days in Palermo because I was trying to stick to my strict "Back to Sicily/Reverse Immigrant (from Atty. Alfred M. Zappalà's book, The Reverse Immigrant) experience…and stay inside my social security payment budget…only ate food I prepared in the Airbnb from grocery purchases or the open markets. When the kids are here, we'll be at McD's, too!!! Ciao!
Technically, sharing a 33cl beer with your wife shouldn't result in an alcohol level that makes you dangerous to drive, however it is always preferable to avoid drinking alcoholic beverages when driving a car.
Having said that I remember that in Lucca there were, in my day, two excellent Pubs, one near the railway station and the other in Piazza Anfiteatro.

Btw, at KFC you should try the Spicy Crispy Strips with garlic sauce, ( not sure if they have the flavors in your area) they're amazing!

Great video. I’m curious to see if their Big Macs and quarter pounder‘s are the same as in the US. I never go to McDonald’s in the US. The last time I had McDonald’s was at the Milan airport in 2019.
