As a Mexican, it would be a miracle to make it past the group stage in Qatar. Tata Martino is pretty incompetent at the helm, but he’s only the scapegoat, the president of the federation is single-handedly destroying Mexican football in favor of lining his and his friends’ pockets with money. Mexico are taking about 10 players who don’t deserve to go to the World Cup, even choosing a mediocre Argentine who declared for Mexico as soon as Tata became manager over all-time leading goal scorer Javier Hernandez and/or in form 21 year old Santiago Jimenez who just moved to Feyenoord over the summer.
