  1. I bought 2 wines because of this video. I will receive the castellare classico normale 2020. Is it ready to drink/taste, or should I leave it a bit?

  2. When you do these tastings how long does it actually take for the tasting part?

  3. I have had the Le Volte and the Costallero both very nice! If you like big heavy reds these are not for you elegant and complex very well made wines.

  4. Great video, again 👍🏼 I’ll be searching out a few of these 🙂 (You didn’t describe the varietal mix on wines #3, #4 & #6 😔)

  5. The original Chianti recipe made by Baron Ricasoli in the 19th century included two white varieties in addition to Sangiovese and Canaiolo: Malvasia and Trebbiano and the must was subjected to a refermentation that produced fresh wines not suitable for aging. The market demanded this type of wine and producers adapted by using glass flasks embellished with straw. Obviously, due to the presence of white grapes, the wine did not have much stability and in a short time it spoiled. In 2005 the new Chianti disciplinary excluded the use of white grapes.

  6. Sangiovese became my favourite grape after my wife and I walked from Florence to Siena, when we enjoyed some wonderful chianti in the heart of Classico country. We stopped over in Castellina one night so I'm definitely going to find some of the Castellare di Castellina you guys sampled, as it seems to be readily available in the UK.

  7. Nice video, thank you!!! Please stop calling Chianti “Normale” or Classico “Normale”, when they are not Riserva. There is not such designation. Thank you!

  8. Gaja Promis, do me good as Super Tuscan. I am a Terlato guy so that might be why. Mazzei is great up and coming brand.

  9. Great tasting. Excuse me if I am out of place, but Elena seems very hot for you Jay! The point at which you commented on the Italian fondness for dipping things into liquids…. and Elena's enthusiasm for that idea… I don't know how you kept a straight face, or how your wife would react!

  10. Concerning the second wine, it Night ne Worth mentioning that it is the second wine From sassicaia
