Welcome to Travel to a winery in Tuscany, Italy (Poggio al Lupo, a magical place where many wolves lived) – another installment of “On The Road Edition” hosted by Stevie Kim. This episode is a short overview of Stevie’s visit to the Moretti Cusari family on their Tuscan estates. In this episode Stevie visits Poggio al Lupo in Marenna. Together with Alberto Moretti Cusari, Stevie will visit the estate, including the 7 hectares Vermentino vineyards and their unique Y system of growing. This method guarantees more open air and sun so the leaves can produce better quality. Finally, Alberto takes Stevie to visit the ruins of the Abbey of San Bruzio, a symbol of the winery.
Poggio al Lupo is located in one of the most beautiful and evocative areas of Tuscany, in the Maremma near Grosseto where we find unspoilt nature. The estate was founded by Antonio Moretti Cuseri at the early 2000s in this special place where he used to spend his holidays when he was a young boy. One of the most important symbols of the winery are the ruins of the Abbey of San Bruzio, which lie beneath the vineyards in the countryside. Hence the rose logo, a decoration found on one of the capitals.
