EUCHARISTIC MIRACLE OF LANCIANO ITALY
It all happened around the year 700, a monk named Basil was assigned to celebrate mass in the monastery of Lanciano.
When performing the rite with unleavened bread and wine. The monk had doubts about the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist and asked God for proof.
During Mass, by proclaiming the words of consecration, which are:
This is my body and this is my blood
Immediately weeping, it is stated that the monk saw the bread turn into living flesh and the wine turn into blood,
which coagulated in five pieces, supposedly corresponding to the total of the wounds that Christ suffered on the cross.
The Eucharistic miracle is protected in a work of art in gold, silver and rock crystal… it has been subjected to study, which confirms its legitimacy.
