Hey Guys, I had the amazing opportunity to travel back to Italy! This trip was a little bit different than my last trip as I travelled with Contiki this time. If you’re wondering what Contiki is, it’s a tour company that caters to 18- to 35-year-olds. The tour that I did was ‘Simply Italy’. I traveled from June 12th, 2022 to June 26th, 2022. Simply Italy was a 15-day trip across Italy that allowed us to visit 22 cities although it was originally advertised as 15 place and Two Countries. Rome, Siena, Florence, the Tuscan hills, Pisa, Lucca, Montecatini-Terme, Cinque Terre: Monterosso, Cinque Terre: Vernazza, Lake Como, Lake Como: Bellagio, Milan, Verona, Venice, Burano island, Vatican City, Pompeii, Naples, Capri, Positano, Amalfi, and Salerno. @Contiki

Since I had already been to Vatican City I decided to opt-out of the tour and took the train to Santa Marinella for a personal beach day. You’ll notice I avoided a lot of the main highlights in Rome, Milan, and Cinque Terre. Personally, since I got the opportunity to spend a week in each of those places the last time I visited Italy I wanted to use my second time to see new things.

Travelling with Contiki was an amazing experience with amazing people from all around the world. I left this trip with amazing memories and made forever friends along the way. Travel can be hard with all the go, go, go and the temperature or cultural changes but when we travel we’re not only exploring new places but we’re also exploring ourselves.

Personally, this trip was one of the best things that happened to me. I travelled with two close friends: Abbey and Emily from my home city and from the moment we booked this trip we agree that we wouldn’t hold each other back. This meant we didn’t need to stick together all the time, we agreed we would make an effort to meet new people and do what we each wanted to do even if it was separate from one another. I had always wanted the chance to travel alone and even though this was a group-based trip I was able to take advantage of the free time and take myself out for dinner or explore on my own. This trip allowed me to learn about myself and learn to enjoy my own company. I didn’t expect to go on a Contiki which is known for its ‘partying’ and ‘drinking’ and leave with a new outlook on life. I plan on doing a video where I talk more in-depth about what it was like travelling with 40+ Strangers across Italy so if you have any questions please leave them down below.

I want to take a moment to thank Abbey, Emily and everyone who was on my trip including our amazing Tour guide: ED and Bus driver: Alfonso for an amazing 15 days. Thank you to all those that made it into the vlog and those that didn’t. Thank you for pushing me outside my comfort zone even if I thought I didn’t have a comfort zone I needed to be pushed out of. I will forever miss hearing the day song ‘I Ain’t Worried’ By OneRepublic every morning on the bus after a wild night out or simple wine night surrounded by great people and amazing Italy wine. The moral of my rant is: “I ain’t worried ’bout it right now”.

Hope you guys enjoyed our adventures
