Authentic Homemade Italian Meatballs and Red Sauce! We’ll teach you how to make these delicious meatballs in this video! This recipe comes from my Italian Grandma!
Here’s the Ingredients list for the better than store-bought homemade Italian Meatballs!! For the Method/Preparation, please see the video.
Red Sauce:
1 Can (medium size) of tomato paste, + small can if you want extra sauce
3 Cans water for each can of tomato paste
3-4 cloves of garlic
Olive Oil (not virgin, but regular)
¼ cup red wine / Merlot, Cabernet
Garlic Salt / Pepper / Oregano / Basil / Sprinkle Crushed Red Pepper / Sugar
Italian Homemade Meatballs:
1 ½ pounds ground round (80% lean)
1 Egg
Few dashes of Worcester sauce and/or soy sauce
1 Tsp Garlic salt PER POUND of meat, maybe a bit more
3/4 – 1 Tsp Pepper PER POUND of meat
1 Onion – diced
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
Italian Bread Crumbs – ¼ to ½ cup – enough to cover all meat
Parmesan Cheese – ¼ to ½ cup.
2-3 Tbsp Parsley (can be dried in spice bottle)
