“I have attended Umbria Jazz Winter and taped a couple of shows, plus a few radio
broadcasts and some other shows. This is one of them. Herbie captured at Umbria Jazz last year. I’ve seen almost every Herbie
tour in the last 20 years but this line-up is one of the most exciting one. Lionel Loueke is simply an incredible young and talented musician (check his latest cd ‘Virgin Forest’ which features Herbie in a couple of tunes); Lily Hayden violin adds a magic touch to the music, while Matthew Garrison is a powerful bassist who – you will hear during the introduction of track 3 – speaks excellent italian.
