A&Z #1050 – Professional eater Randy Santel versus Caliendo’s “Wise Guy” Massive Italian Chicago Calzone Challenge hosted by Caliendo’s Italian Restaurant & Bar in Winfield, Illinois, an outer suburb of Chicago, Illinois!! Caliendo’s in Winfield hosts 3 different man vs food eating restaurant challenges and a few of our competitive eating friends have beaten one or more of them. @Katina Eats Kilos and I each wanted to start off by trying Caliendo’s massive “Wise Guy” Italian Chicago Calzone which has a very short 30 minute time limit to finish everything. I ordered my calzone “mixed” and it was filled with both meats and healthy vegetables – Italian sausage plus grilled onions, mushrooms, and green peppers. The marinara sauce that comes with the meal is optional and so was the dessert I ordered for afterwards. Winners earn the $25 Italian food meal free plus a sweet t-shirt and spot on Caliendo’s Wall of Fame. Caliendo’s “Wise Guy” Massive Italian Calzone Challenge in Winfield, Illinois ($25):
– Caliendo’s Restaurant & Bar and served the Winfield, Illinois area for many years now.
– Caliendo’s offers three different food challenges on the menu, including this “Wise Guy” Calzone.
– They also host a “Hitman” Burger Challenge and “Bada Bing” 2ft Long Italian Sandwich Challenge.
– For this giant calzone challenge, you can order it as a “Meat Lovers,” “Veggie Lovers,” or “Mixed.”
– My “mixed” was filled with lots of sausage balls plus green peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
– Each calzone is filled with homemade red pizza sauce and lots of 100% mozzarella cheese.
– There is a 30 minute time limit to finish it all. The whole calzone weighs around 4-5 lbs total.
– Winners earn the $25 Italian calzone meal free plus a sweet t-shirt and spot on Wall of Fame.
– Please call ahead to schedule your challenge in advance if you are interested in trying one.
