I have recently got back from the maiden voyage of Princess Cruises brand new cruise ship Discovery Princess. This video offers an inside look and a review of the whole ship. We were celebrating our WEDDING ANNIVERSARY during the voyage and this video shows what the ship can do for you/how they can help you celebrate your special occasion. JUST WAIT TILL YOU SEE HOW THEY DECORATE OUR BED THAT NIGHT!! The film also explores all the amenities, from the swimming pools (my favorite is the infinity pool which overlooks the wake which is called the Wakeview pool) to the mini golf, sports court, jogging track etc. to the food and drink. I try out most of the restaurants, from the buffet to the main dining room to the specialty restaurants – I especially like the Crown Grill steakhouse and the Sole Piccata at the Italian restaurant Sabatini’s was divine. As for the cocktails, you’ve got to try a 24 carat gold Margarita – this was my first and it was punchy and sensational. The video also includes a peek at my balcony cabin and what you can do with the balcony – we ordered an ‘Ultimate Balcony Breakfast’ to celebrate a special anniversary one morning and it was superb. We even spotted DOLPHINS from our balcony and the video includes one of these sightings. That was a real highlight. Then I put the Medallion disc I’m wearing in the video’s thumbnail photo to the test. As an experiment I order lunch on one side of the ship and then go walkabout to see if the crew really can track me thanks to the Medallion and find me to give me my lunch. Watch the video to see what happens! And for the FIRST TIME EVER you can now use this Medallion to pay for things OFF the ship as well as on. I try it out at the port of Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. Then there’s the entertainment – Princess has just launched a brand new ‘Deal or No Deal’ game show which is exclusive to Discovery. It was actually very entertaining and there’s a $1k prize to be won…if you’re lucky!! You’ll also get to see Discovery Princesses sparkly new 3-tier Piazza as well as the spa and other chill areas. This is an amazing ship and was an amazing cruise.
