These Italian Drunken Noodles are an easy weeknight meal with tons of flavor. This meal can come together in less than 30 minutes. I used egg noodles but you can use any type of pasta that you have on hand and it will come out perfect. I used a mild Italian sausage but you could use a spicy sausage or even a chicken sausage. I used white wine but if you would like this to be alcohol free dinner (Italian sober noodles) you could substitute chicken stock. Serving it with some crusty bread and a side salad will make this dinner a staple for your family. Even my pickiest eater enjoys this dish.

Ingredients:

8 ounces egg noodles
Olive oil
1 pound Italian Sausage
1 large onion, quartered and sliced thinly
1 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon cracked black pepper
1 red bell pepper, cored and thinly sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, cored and thinly sliced
1 orange bell pepper, cored and thinly sliced
4 cloves garlic, pressed through garlic press
½ cup white white (I used Chardonnay) you could use chicken stock
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes, with juice
2 tablespoons flat-leaf parsley, chopped
¼ cup fresh basil leaves, julienned, divided use
