This is a shared tour that departs every day from Florence to explore the famous truffle region of San Miniato. You will meet Francesca and her family in a typical Tuscan farm that is set 10 min away from San Miniato.
Tour departs in the morning from Florence at 9:45 am and the meeting point is set in Piazza Cavalleggeri. We will be driving towards San Miniato and the ride will take just 1 hr.
The experience takes place in a forest just 10 min walk from Francesca’s farm, this is a private property known for the abundance of truffles and between October and November is an excellent spot to find white precious truffles.
The hike is open to everyone but we discourage people that have bad mobility and since this a food and wine experience open to small groups only, we accept only people with a minimum of 18 yrs old.
The lunch takes place in Francesca’s family villa and food is homemade prepared with the freshly found truffles, also the wine comes from Francesca’s winery.
After this great lunch, we will be ready to drive toward the Chianti Classico wine region to stop in a very special winery to have a wine tasting of Tuscan wines.
The ride tp the winery is about 40 min long and the winery is set in a renaissance setting that was home of Medici family in the XV century.
You will be exploring the cellar with a knowledge English guide provided by the winery itself and eventually, you will have a guided wine tasting with one of ITALY AND WINE wine experts.
At about 4 pm we will be all ready to go back to Florence where we will be arriving by 4:45 p.m.
