This a short compilation of a few live performances in various clubs in and around NYC. The Kitano in New York, a jazz series curated by Gino Morratti. Gino was a huge supporter of the music and featured many great performers. He also curated a jam session on Tuesdays which was loved by many. Before every band played he always asked the audience to be respectful of the music and listen, not talk! I always loved that about him.
Gino left this world about a year ago. A former Marine, he loved jazz and was an ardent promoter of the music. The Kitano Hotel is a gorgeous Japanese hotel. There was a beautiful Steinway in the restaurant behind the lobby. The Kitano Hotel is known for the absolutely stunning flower arrangements in the lobby. Located on Park Ave in the ’30’s it is a beautiful place to stay in NY!
Also shared on this video are a few tunes from a Caribbean restaurant in Morristown, NJ called Hibiscus Grill! Great Caribbean cuisine, they have since moved to another location in Roxbury Township.
Also, the video with the shiny black hat and the poinsettia was taken at a restaurant in Oakland, NJ, called CENZINOS. A fabulous place for fine Italian dining, delicious signature cocktails, and sumptuous desserts.
This video has a few standards and a few clips of some of my original music.
