In Today’s episode we take a closer look at the garden and land that came with the purchase of our abandoned 100 year old Italian farmhouse. We look at some of the work that we’ve already completed and showcase our plans for the garden – with a 3D garden design walkthrough.
During the pandemic we dreamed of buying a place in Italy that would give us a break from city life. In 2021, as travel remained restrictive and the pandemic didn’t look like subsiding, we decided to turn that dream into a reality.
We sold our apartment in Stockholm, packed up the car and headed for Piemonte. After a couple of months searching for the right house we came across Our Italian Dream House and immediately made an offer. Four weeks later (just three days before Christmas) we signed the contract and had the keys.
It’s now early 2022 and we have begun work on the epic renovation that stands before us. We are mortgage free and have a very limited budget so plan to take on as much of the renovation ourselves as possible – follow us on our journey as we turn an abandoned Italian farmhouse into our dream home.
