How a proper meatballs sandwich is cooked in Italy and consumed in a nice ciabatta artigianale – the real Italian burger:
The meatballs are prepared with quality organic beef and fine tuned with some Italian homegrown herbs. We will shortly fry the meatballs in evoo and cook them for about 1 hour in a spicy tomato sauce. The burger will be topped with some Parmigiano Reggiano flakes and with fresg arugula leaves. This luxury finger food is suitable both as main meal as well as snack. It can be consumed tovether with some roasted or fried potatoes.
Ingredients for 2 hungry persons:
700 ml of passata (fine Italian tomato)
500 g of minced beef
¼ yellow onion (for tomato sauce)
1 garlic clove (for tomato sauce)
basil leaves (for the tomato sauce)
rosemary leaves
mints leaves
parsley
muscat nut
1 shot of white wine
evoo
salt
black pepper
honey
mustard
fresh chili (for tomato sauce)
2 ciabatta breads
a bit of old bread soaked with water
Parmigiano Reggiano (for topping of the burger)
arugula leaves (for topping of the sandwich)
