NOTE! Unfortunately we could not find a link for the maggot molds. The ones we use in this video were sold for a short time at Michael’s for Halloween, and now I can’t find them for sale anywhere. If you find a good link for maggot silicone molds, feel free to let us know!

Here’s the recipe-

“Maggot”strone Recipe

Mascarpone
Approximately a cup of chopped zucchini
Approximately a cup of chopped onion
Approximately a cup of chopped celery
Approximately a cup of chopped butternut squash
Approximately a cup of trimmed and cut green beans
Salt and pepper
A couple of sprigs of Rosemary
Bay leaves
1 1/2 to 2 quarts veggie stock or chicken stock
One large can of crushed tomatoes
About a tablespoon of tomato paste
A couple cans of cannellini beans
About half a box of short cut pasta
Large sauce or Soup pot
Cutting board and knife
Large spoon

Fill your Silicone mold with the mascarpone then place in the freezer. Chop all of the vegetables. In a large sauce pot put a couple tablespoons of oil and set it on medium low heat. Add all of your chopped vegetables. Cook stirring occasionally for 15 to 20 minutes minutes or until veggies start to get soft. Then add salt and pepper, a couple whole sprigs of Rosemary, bay leaves, the stock, tomatoes, tomato paste, and cans of beans. Let simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, then add your pasta and cook for the amount of time the pasta package tells you. Fill your bowl with soup and add your mascarpone. Since we couldn’t find a link for the molds, add a dollop of cheese to the soup (or you can mold “maggots” out of the cheese with your hands if you want).

“Mother of tears” wine spritzer

Roscato or your favorite Italian red wine
Cranberry sauce
Lacroix lime or sparkling water or tonic water
A Shaker with ice
a couple tall glasses

Again, unfortunately we couldn’t find the mold for you to buy, so if you’d like at least some cool black light ice cubes, freeze some tonic water in an ice cube tray. Add about two glasses of wine to your shaker, then add about a tablespoon of cranberry sauce. Carefully shake your shaker and strain it between the two glasses. Top it off with your Lacroix lime or sparkling water and add a few ice cubes. If you want to see it glow place a black light over it.
