Wine Hunter is a feature length documentary about entrepreneurship, wine importing and finding deeper meaning in life and work.
The film follows the journey of Russ Lorber in his quest for happiness and illustrates the importance of listening to one’s heart and following one’s dreams, despite the fear of failure.

40 million people quit their jobs since the beginning of the pandemic in the US in the search for something that fits their lifestyle better. This is where this film comes into the picture, dealing with a topic that seriously matters to society: not just a work life balance but also the need to be happy and fulfilled in life.

The documentary sheds light on the business of wine importing, something never presented before in public. The audience will also learn about Italian wine and grape varieties.

The Wine Hunter team has worked for more than 8 months in the making of this film. We have been able to finance it with our personal funds, and our pro bono work. We have made an ideal film for the U.S. and the international market, a documentary with a strong potential impact, but in order for us to distribute it, we need $89,374 for funding post production, film graphics & animations, color correction & picture work, audio mix & sound sweetening, film festival fees, distribution legal fees, insurance and most importantly, audience outreach.

Our commitment to this project implies that we are going to finish it no matter how successful this campaign is, because we strongly believe that this story must be heard. There are some expenses without which we can’t distribute the film, but the rest of this fundraising budget is all designed with the aim of avoiding one scenario: that the film is finished but remains unknown to the general public because lack of exposure. For this reason, we can guarantee that we are going to finish the project but we still need your help to increase its social impact. If this campaign is a success, then the film will be screening at international festivals from Spring-Fall 2022, supported by an active audience outreach campaign. Then it will be available on TV, and online platforms from Winter of 2023.

We’re looking to our friends and followers to help us reach our goal – not only through your generous contributions, but also by spreading the word, and sharing this page and sharing it often!
