Highlights of our fall tour of the Piedmont region tour departing October 2022. Our journey begins in beautiful royal Turin where we visit local markets, taste cheese and watch the passing foot traffic from an historic cafe.
Our time in Turin is short and sweet (the city is known for their decadent chocolate drink – bicerin) and we head to the road for the wine region of Le Langhe. Famous for Barolo – the ‘King of Italian Wines’ – you’ll also find truffles in the surrounding wooded hills.
Wine and truffles are the theme of our trip, with abundant opportunities to taste and compare dishes and drops as well as join a truffle hunt, learn to make a local pasta dish and explore some of the most picturesque off the beaten path villages in all of Italy.
