The medieval village of Castello d’Albola stands on top of the splendid Chianti hills in the borough of Radda in Chianti; it is quite unique for its fascinating history, works of art and unique position in such a wonderful agricultural landscape of unsurpassed harmony. It has belonged to some of the most aristocratic families in Tuscany, before most recently being purchased by the Zonin family in 1979.

The vineyards are situated at a high altitude, and this lends the wines a grace and a freshness that other Chianti aspire to. The history of the place, along with an irreproachable work ethic from the current winemaking team, results in such effortless wines of poise and freshness, bundled with the inherent meatiness of Sangiovese from this part of Italy. A really shining example of what happens when years of experience are channelled into vineyards of great pedigree in a fantastic region.
