If you are craving authentic Italian food with the best service – do visit Il Forno opposite Al Ghurair centre! I was absolutely amazed by their hospitality, service, flavors, and beautiful view from their outdoor seating !
To start with they served crispy bread with marinara sauce – yum!
We started with the Crispy Kale salad which was topped with oranges that added a zesty flavor… the salad was so fresh n crunchy that we couldn’t resist but finish the whole bowl! We then ordered the Primavera Pizza and Penne Verdi for mains. Primavera pizza was so flavorful and soft, the cheese was practically melting in our mouths! Topped with broccoli, artichoke, bell peppers among others was absolutely delicious. Penne Verdi had appropriate amount of red sauce; it was an absolute delight to our taste buds! Their portions are so generous that we easily had some left over to take home. In the end we tried their innovative Mango tiramisu – their take on tiramisu with the fruity flavor of mango. Just when we thought their food couldn’t get better, the mango tiramisu surprised us yet again …. So soft, aptly sweet, with the perfect amount of mango-ness! Trips to Al ghurair have become even more exciting now that I’ve discovered Il Forno!
