All-suite Jinmao Purelax Mountain Hotel Lijiang nestles on the lower slopes of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Ganhaizi, 3,100 metres above sea level and nearby the Dayan old town location. We were able to feel a strong local cultural heritage, an awesome view and experience of the beauty of century-old glaciers.
We had the most relaxing stay thanks to the incredible mountainside scenery, the amazing room, and the wonderful hospitality of the staff. All the rooms are suites and they are huge! Having coffee on the balcony in the morning with a view of the mountain is just unforgettable.
The thing is because of the altitude of the places (3100 meters above sea level) you might get sick, dizzy and maybe you will need to use the oxygen bottles that the hotel provides. So not everyone is able to stand a long stay here. Also in order to access this part of the mountain you need to go to the tourism offices in downtown Lijiang and apply for a pass.
