We’re almost officially in Winter in the Northern Hemisphere. Here are some red wine ideas this winter. I wanted to explore red wine options besides Bordeaux, Burgundy & Barolo which are all fantastic winter wines.I picked wines from around the world and most of my examples were under $30.
Today I explore other Cabernet Sauvignons from other regions (US, Chile, Australia) and I talk about why I am a big fan of Chilean Red Wines
We talk about Priorat, a wonderful Spanish, full-body red wine from Catalonia.
Amarone della Valpolicella – a famous Italian red wine made with the appassimento method
Recioto della Valpolicella – a sweet wine made from the same grapes as Amarone
Shiraz from Barossa Valley Australia and some delicious food pairings
And Etna Rosso, a Sicilian wine that is a great alternative to Pinot Noir
