#6 – Grifalco’s 2017 ‘Gricos’ Aglianico del Vulture is a wine that has continued to get better and better with age. In fact, this same wine made it on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 of 2020 and it is even more delicious now in 2021! This beautiful red from Basilicata is 100% Aglianico and known as the “Barolo of the South”. Complex flavors of ripe black cherry, peppery spices, and stunning floral notes come together in a balanced, traditional style wine that pairs perfectly with smoky meats and Italian cheese and charcuterie boards.
