Cook Bitterleaf Soup with oats as thickener:

The only thickeners I like for Bitterleaf Soup are:
– cocoyam
– achi
– ofo and
– oats (quaker brand)
All others: all purpose flour, yam, potatoes, corn flour or corn starch, are NO for me because they don’t give me the authentic taste and consistency.

Ingredients:
– 3 to 4 table spoons dry ground achi
– Igbo-style washed bitter leaves
– Palm oil
– Habanero pepper or cayenne pepper
– Beef
– offals
– dry fish
– stockfish
– crayfish
– seasoning cubes
– ogiri Igbo
– salt to taste
