In EP5, Mercedes meets up with Costa the Italian wine mogul at the beachside bar. Costa comes off at first as a shallow player, but she’s surprised by his depth and thoughtfulness. It turns out he’s quite the romantic! When Donna and her date Rick join, it soon turns into an impromptu double date. Even though Rick is dating Donna, his chemistry with Mercedes is undeniable – awkward for Donna! Later, Mercedes runs into Alejandro during a nighttime stroll at the beach, where he also reveals surprising depth, prompting her to reflect on the fact that she’s never truly been in love. What a day full of surprises.
