Nero D’Avola is the Sicilian red wine known for fruit-driven flavors particularly dark cherry; so much so that this week’s wine is called Ciràsa, the Italian word for “cherry”. Often full-bodied, somewhat tannic, and moderately high acidity and alcohol.
