On our way back from our weekend getaway in Bendigo we stopped at
Killiecrankie Wines. The owner John was there to greet us and welcome us all in for a wine tasting. We tasted four different wines and they were all very nice. After our tasting which we did outside we enjoyed sitting on their deck . We all brought a glass of wine and enjoyed it with a cheese platter we brought with us. John sat with us and we enjoyed a chat about our travels and the history of his property.

Killiecrankie Wines is the venture of John Monteath and Claire Hull.
A viticulturist with over 20 years’ experience, John has and is currently working with some of the pre-eminent vineyards in the Bendigo and Heathcote wine regions.
Grapes are sourced from a limited number of meticulously tended vineyards in the Bendigo and Heathcote wine regions.
The wines are made in the true garagiste style with hand plunged ferments, basket pressing and minimal intervention. The resultant wines are elegantly proportioned with fine texture and balance.
