I’ve spent the last two weeks poking around the Bay of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Although I have been to Naples, Capri, the Amalfi coast, and Sorrento several times in the past, on this trip, I was out to explore the area in depth, write about it, and design a new Exploring Europe tour itinerary from my research.
Ischia is an island located in the Bay of Naples. It is covered with mountains, lush green forests, and many thermal hot springs. In fact, most visitors to this island come to hike the mountains and relax in the thermal baths. This island of 60,000 people has six major towns, all scattered around the island’s perimeter. It is about six miles, east to west, and four miles, north to south. About 18 square miles. I recently spent four days here, exploring the island and checking it out for a new tour destination. I’ll definitely be back!
