UFC Fight Night Costa vs Vettori had so many questions leading up to the actual fight, given all the controversy surrounding the entire week many people would speculate that Paulo Costa was trying to get out of his fight with Vettori, however Marvin Vettori acting like Italian Bull would keep the fight alive. Once the fight was settled at 205 pounds, Marvin Vettori became a strong favorite to win the fight as fans would believe Paulo Costa would gas out already and Marvin Vettori would cruise to an easy win or even submit and/or knockout Paulo Costa. To many people surprise Paulo Costa would go the entire five rounds and even nearly knockout Marvin Vettori with a head kick before ending the fight with an amazing fifth round. Post-fight Paulo Costa would argue that the Judges and the Referee were not on his side and that the fight was in favour for Marvin Vettori to win, Marvin Vettori would react to win with a bottle of Paulo Costa favorite drink by his side.
