All women-led restaurant Fi’lia opens in Dubai.
The first fully female-led Italian Mediterranean restaurant in Dubai.
Dubai’s Business Bay now has an all-women led restaurant, so if you’re looking for somewhere new to check out while supporting women in the UAE – stick Fi’lia on your list.
The brand-new SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences in Dubai’s Business Bay is attracting loads of attention, and not least because it’s now home to the first fully female-led Italian -Mediterranean restaurant in Dubai.
“Fi’lia is derived from the word figlia, meaning daughter in Italian and embodies a truly remarkable concept, run by women and empowering them to challenge the status quo in the industry” says the team. Even the drinks menu has a 100 percent female-produced grape list.
And if you’re looking for authentic Mediterranean dishes, you’re in luck as the menu is broken down into three sections: nonna – traditional Italian flavours your grandmother would make, mamma – contemporary twists on a classic, and figlia – a daughter’s modern approach to a generational masterpiece.
Meanwhile there’s also a selection of both classic and special pizzas with margheritas, burrata and bresaola and more as well as “la famiglia” sharing dishes.
Set on the 70th floor of the hotel, there are 360-degree views across the city, while indoors is bright and airy with plenty of foliage.
As well as the Bahamas branch, there are also two Fi’lia restaurants in Miami – while this is a first for the region.
