In Episode #44 we are in Torella del Sannio, Italy at the house of Nonna Paolone’s cousin Lucia Mancini. Today Lucia (with the help of her daughter Sabrina Izzi) they are going to teach us how to make White Lasagna. If you love Lasagna you will love this “White” version. You may even love White more than the Red version. It’s that delicious. I promise you will not be disappointed. It’s also easy and fast to make. Watch to get the step by step instructions on how you can make this Italian dish for your family and friends. One important ingredient that Nonna always adds to her recipe is cooking with her heart. So, be sure when you make this you do it with all your heart. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS:
– Broccoli
– 2 Garlic Clove
– Diced Carrots
– Diced White Onion
– Diced Celery
– 2 ½ pounds of Ground Pork
– Parmesan Cheese
– Mozzarella Cheese
– 1000ml or 35oz of Bechamel ( )
– 1/3 or ½ cup of White Wine (optional)
**If your local store does not carry Bechamel click on this link: so you can easily make it at home. All you need is: Whole milk, all-purpose flour, butter, nutmeg, salt and pepper.
Preheat oven to: 390 Fahrenheit or 200 degrees Celsius
Cook for 30 minutes or when the top is Golden Brown.
