Each season we look in on four winegrowers around British Columbia to experience some of the typical seasonal tasks and learn why and when they are done.

This summer we begin in Lake Country at a vineyard, so new it is yet to have an official name. It belongs to the well-known CedarCreek Estate Winery located about a 30-minute drive south in East Kelowna. Winemaker Taylor Whelan and viticulturist Kurt Simcic discuss a number of decisions that go into the final weeks of ripening their steep sloped pinot noir vineyards and we get a look at their special Italian-made tractors made to navigate the narrow, steep slopes of the pinot noir vineyard.
