Gazzuolo is a village nearby Mantua, here you can visit the family Pantheon of Gonzaga’s dinasty, the church of St Peter. Ask for the keys at the local library. Then have lunch at ArteGusto Restaurant to taste a unique local dish: the Risotto with melon. That is some rice accompanied with a sauce made of culatello, melon and some red wine mixed together. It tastes really good, it is like a mouthful of fresh hay!
