A POPULAR Lanarkshire Italian restaurant has been destroyed after a devastating early morning blaze.
A fire broke out at Trattoria Guidi in Airdrie around 1am this morning as emergency crews rushed to the scene.
Emergency services, including six fire crews, raced to tackle the flames at the popular Italian eatery on Rochsolloch Road.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed nobody was hurt in the blaze and the restaurant has been cordoned off, with some nearby roads closed off.
