Comparing Viking Ocean Cruise vs Celebrity Cruises Which Way To Go? Viking ships are smaller, but they only have 1/3 of the passengers on board. Plus with a crew ratio of 2 passengers to 1 crew member, they beat Celebrity easily for service. But Celebrity allows the kids to come with you and there’s lots for them to do while you get to enjoy 5 Star dining. Viking has everything included in your fare, so the wifi, specialty dining, an shore excursion at every port, drinks at lunch and dinner and the spa is included. All you need is tip money. With Celebrity you have to pay extra for all of these perks unless you are a member of the Aqua Club Class, but then you might pay more for your cruise than Viking. Lots to think about here. Both are a winner though, it depends what you want from the cruise and whom you are taking along with you.
