This is some video I shot during a visit to Lombardi’s in the Little Italy neighborhood of New York City. Lombardi’s is probably the most famous pizzeria in the area, partly because it’s believed to be the first pizzeria to open in the United States (1905). It still uses a coal-fired oven. Location is the corner of Mott and Grand, which is slightly off the beaten path of Mulberry Street, where most of the great Italian restaurants are located in this area.
