He says, “The nose of this wine is savory, wisps of Tuscan brush and earth mixed with wild cherry and dried flowers. On the palate this wine shows depth, structure and a plumy fruit eases forward showing layers of spice and complexity. It rolls across your tongue with an ease, smooth and flowing yet underneath there’s still a backbone of tannin and good acidic balance. Marvelous for a mixed Tuscan grill or your favorite pasta.”

Blue-flower, ripe black-plum and baking-spice aromas are front and center along with a whiff of crushed herb. Smooth and full bodied, the savory palate shows juicy black cherry, ripe blackberry and licorice alongside lithe, fine-grained tannins. It’s balanced, with bright acidity. (KO) (4/2020)
